Virtuous examples of companies investing in electric mobility

By 2025, more than two-thirds of the world’s population will live in urban areas, the UN states in its World Urbanization Prospects report. As cities continue to grow, the need for intelligent transport solutions and assistance in the event of mechanical breakdowns will also increase.

As Bike Facilities, we want to enrich the network of charging points as much as possible and make local services even more efficient, in order to make the electric bicycle the main means of transport for every individual.

Thus, we wanted to collect some virtuous examples on which we have personally worked.

Conad hypermarkets

We have implemented more than 30 installations at Conad hypermarkets on the Adriatic Riviera. This allows customers to reach the centres in an environmentally sustainable way and recharge their bikes free of charge.

The charging stations are compatible with all bike models and are a versatile charging point not only for bikes but also for smartphones or electric wheelchairs.

Hospitality Hub Hotel Annunziata in Ferrara

This is an innovative concept, born from the desire to conceive hospitality in a new way. The structure – located opposite the Estense Castle – has decided to create a series of new services to meet the needs of both the hotel’s customers and the citizens of Ferrara or those passing through.

Here, in fact, it is possible to rent one of the hotel’s 12 bicycles or recharge one’s own thanks to our recharging and maintenance columns equipped with tools, an inflating pump and two schuko sockets. Everything can be used free of charge.

In Sant’Antioco

From February 2022 those arriving in Sant’Antioco by bicycle will be able to benefit from three ‘Stop%Go’ columns for the maintenance of their bicycles. The structures have been positioned at the end of the cycle path on the isthmus, in the piazzola in front of the lighthouse, on the Silvio Olla seafront and at the info point in Piazza Repubblica, in the town centre.

Rotary Club of Follonica

Thanks to the ‘Le Vie dell’acqua’ trail enhancement project financed by AdF and Acea and supported by the municipalities of Arcidosso, Castel del Piano, Castiglione d’Orcia, Santa Fiora and Seggiano, our maintenance and electric recharging stations have been installed to promote zero-impact slow tourism.

The Waterways

Thanks to the ‘Le Vie dell’Acqua’ trail enhancement project financed by AdF, Acea and supported by the municipalities of Arcidosso, Castel del Piano, Castiglione d’Orcia, Santa Fiora and Seggiano, our maintenance and electric recharging stations have been installed to promote zero-impact slow tourism.

Milan Polytechnic

The Politecnico di Milano has also chosen Stop&go inlets for its new and very useful velostation. All students thus have a place to park and, if necessary, repair their bikes.

Like the Milan Polytechnic, the Sapienza University of Rome and the University of Padua have also chosen Stop&go pillars.

Municipality of Gaglianico

One of the latest Bike Facilities installations is that of the Municipality of Gaglianico, which has opted for an ebike charging station with 4 Schuko plugs and 2 Stop&Go bike racks.
