Summer has just ended, and for Bike Facilities, it’s already time for events, meetings, and opportunities to turn dozens of new ideas into reality.

GaLaBau: the German street furniture fair

From September 11th to 14th, our team participated in GaLaBau, a leading international event for street furniture and outdoor furniture. Each year, it draws visitors—public administration officials, designers, tourism operators, and businesses—from all over the world to Nuremberg, Germany.

With over 66,000 attendees from 80 different countries, the recently concluded edition confirmed this fair as a strategic marketplace for Italian companies: a group of companies that, thanks to their expertise, now lead the European green market, right behind Germany and the Netherlands.

Highlights from the GaLaBau fair

The Bike Facilities offering at GaLaBau included some updated versions of traditional smart charging stations and photovoltaic shelters, two product categories that provided the backdrop for the presentation of some new additions to our catalog: the URBAN-BUTTERFLY bike rack and the space-saving P-VERTICAL vertical parking system (more details on these products are available in the catalog on this website).

Next Stop: InOut Rimini

InOut Rimini, the trade show—parallel to the better-known TTG Travel Experience—dedicated to the entire contract industry community, both indoors and outdoors, will be held from October 9th to 11th.

With four different exhibition areas designed to comprehensively showcase the latest developments in interior design, beach resort furnishings, contract materials, and furnishings for outdoor spaces and hospitality, InOut promises to be a truly unmissable business event for us at Bike Facilities. Our goal is to meet and build meaningful relationships with key players—operators and companies—in the Italian and international tourism and hospitality sectors.

Towards the InOut fair

InOut will also be the perfect opportunity to showcase the best of the Bike Facilities product catalog in a unique way, offering our visitors advanced and customized solutions for setting up bike rooms and bike hotels in general. At our stand, you can view an example of a container converted into a bike garage, complete with bike storage, a workshop area, and charging points.

Last but not least, the event will showcase another major innovation promoted by our company: the addition to our team of a Bike & Brand Specialist with cross-disciplinary expertise in mobility, technology, tourism, sustainability, and accessibility.
What is this? A new consulting role that will be able to support tourism businesses, organizations, and companies through all phases of any green mobility project—from the initial strategy to the creation and promotion of safe and accessible itineraries, as well as the installation and maintenance of infrastructure—demonstrating attention and sensitivity to highly topical issues for the sector, such as sustainability, accessibility, and safety.
